Well, I am finally approaching the last stages of this cactus painting so I thought I would show my progress so far. This was certainly a lesson in persistence but I have to say that, surprisingly as it seems, after pressing through all the challenges of this piece, I would definitely paint on this surface again. What can I say, at the end of the day, it was worth it.I snapped this photo in my studio so the colors here aren't as vivid as they are in person. I will post a picture of the final image in about a week. It should be totally complete by then.
